Semiahmoo Seals

Last week we went for a drive on the Semiahmoo Spit and saw in the distance a bunch of seals sunbathing on the concrete breakpoint. We knew we needed to go in for a closer look, so on Saturday we took the canoe and paid our ocean friends a little visit.

We learned that our canoe will officially hold all six of us and that Declan is old enough now to not capsize the boat. And we had so much fun. The seals were so cute and so curious and even after we passed their sunbathing spot, a bunch of them followed us in the water and came within 10-15 feet of the boat. This day ranks as one of my top five things we've done together as a family. It was just that amazing.

That looks like fun! I'm currently canoe shopping for father's day. But I must admit, canoes scare me to DEATH!

A few things...

First of all, those seals. WOW! Second of all, I love the house you picked out in Wyoming. I think a wild horse would really love that backyard. And last but not least, we love 'Single Ladies' at our house too, but we don't have quite the awesome bootie shakin moves that Declan does. Loved that video!

So cool! You guys inspire me to go on more adventures. You are always doing such fun stuff. That won't change, even living in Wyoming! Hope to see you soon! We love you.
