Beckstead Family Reunion, part 1

On Labor Day weekend we went to the annual Beckstead Reunion at Beaver Mountain. This was especially exciting for us because we missed the last three years, and everyone knows the Becksteads are the funnest family on the planet.

We left Friday, and discovered that the next time we go camping, we probably need a trailer or roof-top carrier. We literally had to put the kids in first, then pack around them.
After getting there and setting up the tent, the kids got right to their favorite reunion tradition: Bingo.

Kael and Halle at our campsite, and Declan showing off his rodeo skills:

It was fun to stay at a ski resort, especially one that we've skied at so often. Some of us hiked to the top of the Little Beaver run, which was a very steep hike.

The view from the top was gorgeous, and we had fun playing on the lift.

The whole weekend, Liam's face looked exactly as a little boy's face should look: dirty.

Ice blocking. We all had a blast with this, but Sam became borderline obsessed. He spent hours out on the hill riding the ice blocks down. In fact, I caught him out there at dark, trying to find a way to sit on the tiny piece of ice that was left!

Tess and Lance organized a game of "Minute to Win it" that was fun to watch, especially the oreo competition, where the contestants had to get an oreo from their foreheads into their mouths without touching it!

Grace spent a lot of time with all the dogs!

On skit night, Grandpa and Grandma performed a lip sync that was hilarious and a little creepy at the same time!

Grace and Halle shaking their booties.
Sam and new BFF Beth. These two were inseparable and so cute together.
The Wii "Just Dance" competition.

We slept in our tent the first two nights, but the third night was cold (it even snowed a little!) so we moved into the basement of the lodge. It was funny to be sleeping in the ski locker room.
Stay tuned for even more pictures, if you can believe that....

We just camped at Beaver Mountain a few weeks ago. It's a great place to camp and perfect for family reunions. Your family reminds me of my family. Fun times together!

Cameron and I were talking and it's been 7 years since we've been to the reunion..wowza. Looks like a fun time, and I would have loved to see Grandma "dancing".

How can I get copies of some of those pics? I took a lot of pis but they are all lousy. I especially like the one of papa driving the train. Great angle and light.
