Half Moon Lake

Last weekend we headed north to check out Pinedale, a cute little town about an hour outside Jackson. We took the canoe and found a gorgeous lake to enjoy the day on. The weather has been so beautiful here. It still feels like summer - we're even running the AC in the afternoons. We are just soaking it up while it lasts... because a Wyoming winter might just do us in.

We definitely fill up the canoe with our family of six!

We rowed across the lake and found a spot on the shore for a picnic, and Sam and Liam found a steep mountain to slide down.

(Gotta love the self-timer feature!)
This eagle thought we were a little too close to her nest and kept squawking to shoo us off.

After some more exploring, we found a secluded, sandy little beach. And you know what happened then.
(Would it really be a Ratchford blog post without some skinny dipping?)

A beautiful day spent with my favorite people in the world!

You guys find adventure and fun wherever you live. Your Saturdays growing up, Erin , were chores and cleaning apartments! Well, we did have fun once in awhile, didn't we??!!

Erin, you guys are the best. You really know how to embrace life. I admire you ability to adapt to any place and find the fun that is to be had anywhere. We need to adopt more of your attitude in our family.
