October Catchup

Here's a few things we've been up to lately.
We spent a weekend in Preston helping my dad while the kids had a blast with Nana.
Grace had crazy hair day, and this is what you get when your mom stinks at doing hair. But Grace loved it.

We've been jamming on the new drums our friend Dave made for us.

And working hard on the swim team.

(as well as doing whatever it takes to keep the boys busy poolside.)
Declan and I love our weekly library trips, especially when storytime includes trick-or-treating around the library.

We also love our weekly lunch dates with kindergartners...
... and third graders. (Some 5th graders think it's "a little embarrassing, Mom.")
Deco is still loving being the only boy in dance class, and all the other moms think he's the cutest... especially the day he wore his Superman costume. More than one pre-arranged marriage has been proposed for our consideration.
(nice wedgie, Miss Amy)
We've been reluctantly scouting. (The reluctance coming from parents. Liam loves it.)
And we had a fun family night at Grace's school for Bingo for Books.
Liam was the only winner from our family, it was very exciting.
Grace showed us her locker, and Declan and Sam got a glimpse of what being a freshman will be like.

We celebrated Halloween with Mrs. Maddox's class...

... and Ms. Cowan's class.

And we trick-or-treated at the hospital's Halloween party.
Wow, that's not even the half of it. Stay tuned.

Wow. You've been a busy mom! Are you feeling all settled in now?
I always wish my boys would take dance. I'm sure they would be glad they did, but they're not about to be the only boy in the class. Too bad. Some day, they'll just wish they could have a bunch of cute girls all to themselves. Funny how that changes.
