More Texas

If there's one thing I miss about living in Texas, it's the Mexican food, because, oh boy, do they do it right! We made a goal to eat Mexican food daily on our trip. Our favorite restaurant was Salsa's.
Declan found a restaurant that was more suited to him:

We rented a big bicycle for an hour and drove around the beach.

We were only slightly embarrassed that Garreth high-fived everyone we passed and shouted out "OH-LO" in his best Mega-mind voice.
We also visited a place just outside Houston called the Kemah Boardwalk. Of all the places we went, we would be most likely to recommend this one. It was very cool.
Liam was just so excited to be back in the state he was born in!

Eating great ice cream, watching street performers, and listening to a live band: my idea of a very good time.

We let the kids each choose one activity.
Sam, Grace, Declan, and I went to Stingray Reef to feed and pet the stingrays,

and Garreth and Liam rode the Boardwalk Bullet roller coaster.

This whole post makes me wish for summer! It looks like great fun! Did you really eat at the Poop Deck? I don't think I could drag Derrick in a restaurant by that name if it was the only food for 500 miles! And the bike looks fun! Dads who embarrass their kids.....that's what great memories are made of, right?
