Madi and David's Wedding

A day and a half after getting home from Ireland (just enough time to unpack, do laundry, and pack again!) and still majorly jet-lagged, we headed over to Preston for my baby sister Madi's wedding.

They had the reception Thursday night at my parents' house and it was gorgeous.

They got married in the Logan Temple on Friday. It was a great day.

The beautiful bride and groom coming out after the ceremony.

All the Beckstead grandkids:
David is the first kid in his family to get married, so I think his family was more than a little overwhelmed by this:

Getting a sister picture. Apparently it's not easy. Look at the faces in this one.
And this one.
Ah, that's better!

At the luncheon. Having a smoothie bar was the best idea ever on a hot August day!

It was so fun to celebrate Madi and David's marriage!
(Even if it's a little surreal to have baby Madi be old enough for this sort of thing!)

Oh my heck! Great pictures. That first sister picture of Jamie is hilarious. She looks SO happy to be a part of the family.

First of all...your trip to Ireland...I couldn't be more jealous. I've always wanted to go there and hopefully someday I will get too. It looks like you all had a blast.

Thanks so much for the book recommendations. They're exactly what I was looking for. I've read a few of your picks, but I'm going to pick up "Boy's Life" and "The Art of Racing in the Rain" and read them. I've had "Boy's Life" recommended to me a few times before. It's time I read it, and I saw the other one in Costco just today and thought it looked good. I'm a huge dog fan. I might even try the Dean Koonz book. That would be a departure for me though, but departures can be good. Thanks again Erin!
