We had a great Christmas break, as evidenced by my genuine sadness about the kids going back to school today. I really could have used another week with them home. Here are some random pics of the last few weeks.
This handsome guy got some cool new specs. (Sorry about your unfortunate optical genetics, buddy. Between me and your dad, you didn't really have a chance.) He's so dashingly handsome, I think he pulls them off very nicely.
We headed down to the beach to try out Liam and Sam's new slingshots.
We began a massive organization and de-junking of the house project. Unfortunately, with five kids around, for me to get a closet looking like this:

We got some new games for Christmas and we let Grace and Liam stay up late with us a few nights to play them. Can I just say how great it is to have kids that are old enough to play games that are actually fun for adults, too? I would rather shoot myself in the foot than play Chutes and Ladders.

Wow, Erin! You're on the verge of another new adventure!!! I hope it all works out in the very best way possible for you guys. I just love how sometimes Heavenly Father has plans for us that take us by surprise. But still, He has a plan for us...and it's so cool that you guys have the faith to take a leap of faith! kelli

Well, if he's up to the Polar Bear Plunge I'm sure he's up to finding the perfect job in the perfect place. What a great attitude you have. I'm always scared spit-less about everything. Best of luck. Keep us updated.
Liam, you look so handsome in your new glasses! Iris is jealous. She thinks glasses are pretty sweet.
Whatever Ratchford adventure is ahead, you'll all be amazing. We love you guys!

Wow Erin. It looks like some exciting change is coming your way. That "glass half full" attitude of yours will help you all along the way. I love that you're willing to do what's best for your family no matter the consequences. You promised you'd keep us posted. Good luck to you good people!
