On the Road

We left Birch Bay early in the morning and drove all the way to Missoula "Why can't we be moving to this place?!" Montana.

But because I am a sucker for any historical sight and because I remembered it from 4th grade Idaho History, we stopped at the Old Mission of the Sacred Heart in northern Idaho, which is the oldest building in Idaho.
I did have to endure a tiny bit of snickering from Garreth about the building only being there since 1853 - but hey, we don't all come from places with thousands of years old buildings still standing.

Since it was after 5:oo, we couldn't go inside the church, but it was a very interesting place to walk around and learn about. The old cemetery was my favorite part. (I also have a thing for old cemeteries - is that weird?)

In Montana we came across this beautiful sight. We stopped for pictures, but alas we didn't take the time to find the pot of gold.

That's a beautiful place. I'm going to have to go there someday. Hope there's a rainbow when I get there.
