Halloween

Presenting the Ratchford children in all their ghoulish charm:
Grace, some sort of scary/cute goth dead bride/vampiress.

Liam, the one and only Michael Jackson, post skin-lightening surgeries.

Sam, a scary vampire for the second or third year in a row.

Declan, Man of Steel.
(Who tried to convince me that when he's in costume, he doesn't need to wear a seatbelt, because "Superman just doesn't need one.")
And then there's Dog the Bounty Hunter.

And a Rastafarian (who wishes Dog would have decided on his costume sooner than 30 minutes before trick-or-treating so she could have gone as his wife, Beth.)

(Declan opted for the much warmer Frankenstein costume for trick-or-treating, and Grace ditched the itchy wig.)
Darn Halloween falling on a Sunday! We let them walk around the neighborhood trick-or-treating for a little while, but it was dang cold and windy and we didn't last long.

The best part of the night is always coming home to a warm, cozy house and dumping out the haul. Let the trading begin.

This year on Halloween night, Garreth wanted to play some games that he and his family played every year when he was a kid. Our humble family party turned out to be the kids' favorite part of Halloween!
We bobbed for coins and apples.

And played the "bite the hanging apple" game.

End the night with some pumpkin cake with whipped cream and you have yourself one happy Halloween!
