Soccer season is officially over and we will miss our Saturdays at the soccer fields. Maybe the world cup will help fill the void...

We got a visit from our nephew Tyler, who was driving through on his way up to Alaska. It was great to see him again - we knew it had been way too long when we saw that he's grown about five feet since we last saw him!
We had our last get-together with our dinner group. We all started hanging out two years ago when we lived in Ferndale and the church put dinner groups together. We had so much fun that we all decided to keep meeting even after the other groups disbanded. I really love these people and I will miss visiting and laughing with them every month.
Garreth and Santos, after the traditional El Salvadorian "switching of the shirts" farewell ceremony.
We have also been frantically squeezing in as many of our favorite things as we can in these last weeks here. Thursday night we headed down to the beach for a campfire dinner.
Don't worry, cat-loving Grace didn't grow a set of whiskers, she just dressed up as Bugs Bunny for "Favorite Cartoon Character Day" at school.
We love smores!
Feeding our leftovers to the gulls and crows.
Beautiful night at the beach.
